	Billy Roper is the son and grandson of [[Klansmen]] from [[Arkansas]], and he formed a racist skinhead gang as a teenager in the 1980s before becoming a high school history teacher in Bradley and Russellville, [[Arkansas]] and later a full-time [[white nationalist\|White Nationalist]]. He joined the [[US National Alliance\|National Alliance]] during the 1990s, becoming its Arkansas unit leader in 1999. He also joined the [[Council of Conservative Citizens]], a segregationist organization. In 2000, after completing his Master's Degree in History with a specialty in Anthropology, he became the National Alliance's deputy membership coordinator at the National Alliance headquarters in West Virginia under Dr. William Pierce, working to build bridges to racist skinheads and other radical right-wing groups. During that time Roper organized and led multiple large scale demonstrations, protests, conferences, concerts, and public rallies at the German and Israeli embassies in Washington, D.C., in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and at the U.S. Capitol in August of 2002, which was the largest White Nationalist rally in Washington D.C. since W.W. II, with over 1,000 participants present. Several of the events he organized featured violent clashes between Roper and his supporters and counter-protesters. After Dr. Pierce's death he became the leader of "White Revolution", an umbrella coalition organizing White Nationalist demonstrations and White Power music concerts in Arizona, Idaho, Florida, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee, and other states, garnering repeated and widespread international media attention. Since then he has authored 15 published books, both fiction and non-fiction, after collaborating with The Knights Party, before founding The Shield Wall Network, a White Nationalist prepper's organization based in north-central Arkansas with the stated goal of encouraging White Nationalists to move to "Ozarkia", the 122 contiguous counties in northern Arkansas and Missouri which are 90% White or higher, to form a "seedbed ethnostate" in anticipation of the balkanization of the United States, which he predicts. Ozarkia is believed to be the largest, most active, and most successful ethnostate project currently existing in the United States. He lives with his wife, Vanessa Roper, on their homestead in Stone County, Arkansas.
